This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be considered or issued. By using our services, API verifications, or making payments through our platform, you agree to the terms mentioned below.
1. Eligibility for Refund
1.1 Refund for Unauthorized Data Leakage
In the rare event of any unauthorized data leakage or transfer originating from Smart Indian’s systems: Affected members are entitled to receive a refund of twice the membership fees paid. Members must submit valid proof of the alleged data leakage. Upon receiving the claim, Smart Indian will initiate an internal verification and investigation. If the claim is found to be genuine, the refund will be processed promptly via the original payment method.
2. Refund Processing Timeline
Once a claim is verified and approved:
Refunds will typically be processed within 7–14 working days.
Delays, if any, may occur due to banking or payment gateway settlements.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
3.1 Data Misrepresentation by the Member
If any member is found to have provided false, manipulated, or misleading information, Smart Indian reserves the right to:
Reject refund requests, regardless of payment status.
Suspend or terminate the Smart Indian Card or membership.
Initiate legal action as per relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including fraud and identity misrepresentation.
3.2 Incorrect or Fake Documentation
Refunds will not be issued if documents submitted by the member during verification are:
Fake
Tampered
Fraudulent
Not issued by valid authorities
4. API & Payment Gateway Transactions
For API-based identity verification or related paid services:
No refund is issued for consumed API credits.
Refunds may be considered only if a system error occurred and the service was not delivered.
API misuse or fraudulent requests void eligibility for any refund.
5. Responsibility of the Member : -
Members are responsible for:
Providing accurate and authentic information
Maintaining confidentiality of their credentials
Reporting any suspected data breach immediately
Failure to follow these responsibilities may impact refund eligibility.
6. Changes to the Refund Policy : -
Smart Indian reserves the right to update, modify, or revise this Refund Policy at any time based on:
